Unit of Measure (UoM) refers to which all units the products are sold and purchased, while the UoM category refers under which category those units are coming.

Now go to inventory -> configuration settings ,enable unit of measure.Then  you can see UOM and UOM categories.Click that one,

 

In UOM there are some default measures,you can create any unit of measures here

Here i created Big Box UOM

Now create one product in inventory ->products -> products, in that ,the place of purchase unit of measure you need to add new created UOM .

Then go to Purchase and create one purchase quotation. Also you need to create one sales quotation, You can check the onhand products and purchased product . To know more about us
